It was the first day of Cerys’s holidays today and I took
her to Luna Park amusement park near the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the north
side. From here we could look across the
water to Circular Quay.
Cerys was very excited and soon we were on the bumper cars
and I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was sorry when the time ran
out. I did not enjoy the next ride so
much, some kind of spinning thing that I thought was going to hurl Cerys out
into the harbour.
After that we went into the Coney Island area , through the
Fun House (not very funny actually) into an area where there were a few rides
that she was too young to take part on but there were another four that she
could. I just sat in the sunshine and
watched her go on these before we headed back to the main part of the park and
went on a rickety old Roller Coaster that felt like it was going to fall apart at any
time.
Then it was the side shows trying to win cheap prizes that I
am sure Amy would not want us to take home. However we did unfortunately win five
and took the furry dice, soft animal toys and stickers away with us.
After stopping at the Smurf garden there was time for one more ride, the Ferris wheel which was
OK, before we headed for home, but not before stopping for a MacDonalds on the
way.
