Australia 2017 - Day 37 - 31st March

Day 37

Did my duty today and went with Amy to get her car REGO'd, the equivelent of our MOT. Then we did the shopping before returning to the house.  Took it easy then for a while because we were going out later to The Opera House to see Tosca.

It was Amy and I going to the opera, Justin was playing football so Lady Nat was coming round to babysit until Justin came home.

At 1600 we drove the car into the city and handed it over to Justin who was to return home in it while we went on for the night.  First stop was the Kittyhawk for a drink.  Nice location and atmosphere.  Kittyhawk is a WWII French Liberation themed bar located in the courtyard of the Aurora Place building, across the road from the Chifley Tower.

Next it was the Meat and Wine Co., located in the lobby of the iconic Inter-Continental Sydney, Macquarie Street, The Meat & Wine Co has spared no expense in bringing this spectacular steakhouse to Sydney Harbour.

Then we strolled dpwn to Circular Quay and on to the Opera House.  It was a lovely evening, just approaching dusk as we strolled through my favourite part of Sydney.

As we approached the Opera House we could see the open air performance of Carmen about to start in the Harbour just off Mrs MaQuarrie's Chair

We then entered the Theatre and took our seats ready for this evening's performance of Tosca to begin.  I was really looking forward to this.

Tosca is a thrilling story of love, lust and betrayal unfolding at breakneck pace, as director John Bell seeks to recapture the everyday banality of evil, during World War II.

A great night out came to an end and as we walked out of the theatre we could see the closing performance of Carmen taking place across the water.

Then it was a walk back through Circular Quay to get a taxi back home to Frenchs Forest.
