Today I took Cerys to the Manly Sea
Life Museum and we had a great morning there, The sharks that we walked beneath were massive. Cerys was impressed with the penguins and I saw an octopus for the first ime swimming around. I had never seen one 'in the flesh' as it were, only on television (or a plate)
Afterwards we took a walk along Shark beach with its fenced off area for swimming. We began making plans to come back early one morning for a swim before it gets too
hot.
We then stopped
at the Bavarian Restaurant on Manly pier before heading back home as I was
going out later. I was going to see the production of Green Day’s
American Idiot in the concert hall at the Opera House..
But not before Cerys had a go on the bouncy trampoline thing they had at the Terminal.

I got ready and headed
back to Manly to catch the ferry to Circular Quay. From here I walked to the Opera House and had a pre perormance drink before entering the Concert Hall.

Really amazing
concert. It was so good I could have gone back to see it again. When
I got home I persuaded Amy and Alfie to go and they booked tickets for Sunday’s
last performance.
Winner of two Tony
Awards® and the Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, American
Idiot is the explosive new musical featuring the entire Green Day American
Idiot rock anthem album. It’s the story of three boyhood friends, each
searching for meaning in a post 9/11 Trumpian suburbia, discovering love, loss,
sex, drugs, and rock and roll along the way.
The show features the
music of Green Day with lyrics by lead singer Billie Joe
Armstrong. This electrified rock musical has had Green Day fans in
rapture and introduced a generation of theatregoers to their powerful and
moving musical style. American Idiot features every song from
the album of the same name as well as several songs from the follow-up
release, 21st Century Breakdown.
