From Ferry to Frommanns Landhotel
We began the morning on board the ferry with a good breakfast, before watching from the Commodore Lounge as we sailed into Amsterdam.

We began the morning on board the ferry with a good breakfast, before watching from the Commodore Lounge as we sailed into Amsterdam.
We eventually
disembarked at about 10.00 and immediately set of for our next destination
which was Buchholz near Hamburg in Germany. This was to be our base for the next few days as we would visit a couple more transporter bridges.
It
was a 300 mile journey and after taking only one small stop along the way we
arrived at our destination at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The Frommanns
Landhotel in Buchholz.
The
Frommans Landhotel is a splendid hotel with its own micro brewery, as well
as really nice gardens and an excellent swimming pool. We had booked this hotel through Booking.com
at an unbelievable rate.
After
settling in we did not stray far and sampled a few of their beers before
enjoying an excellent evening meal in their spacious dining room.
