After a leisurely morning getting ready we set off for Southampton at about 10.00am and got to the docks in Southampton at 12.30.
We went straight to the Mayflower Cruise Terminal to drop off our cases before crossing to the short stay car park opposite.

The car park system was so smooth, handover was quick, security was explained and it was just a short walk across the road to the ship.
Once on board we explored the ship as best we could but I am sure there is much more to see over the next couple of days.

The Venezia restaurant |
We ate lunch in the Venezia Restaurant and then settled down on the balcony of our cabin to watch to ship sail out of Southampton Docks.
Goodbye Southampton
Later in the evening we dined in the Peninsular Restauraunt and the food was fantastic so I think we will be back there tomorrow.

After dinner we went to see a musical show in the cinema, after which we visited a couple of bars and generally stayed out too late. Hope we are OK in the morning as we are off on a coach trip to Damm and Knokke.
